Cayman Street

Immerse yourself in the distinct culture and heritage that is very much Caymanian. Here on Cayman Street a narrow graveled pathway will lead you through Boatswain's Beach "living museum". Cayman Street is a showcase of traditional buildings featuring distinctive Cayman designed porches, doorways, and gardens which come to life as local artisans and native fishermen tell stories of "yesteryear".

Slow down and live like a true Caymanian; take the time to talk with the islanders and learn more about the dying arts; such as making turtle nets, calavans, rosemary brooms and gigs; interact with the local artisans as they let you try your hand at rope or kite making. Taste the great items that are prepared on the old Cayman Caboose such as fritters, or learn to make a delectable island treat such as cassava cake. Make sure to ask about the different types of Caymanian gardens.
